![]() ![]() The fact that this game kicked me to the moon and back when i started this game and makes me furious at times is what makes it fun. I love this game because it's hard, skill based and alot of trial and error if you want to know what suits you best. There is a huge difference in let's say a Recycling Gland Double Minigun Steroids run and a Melting Ultra A run. The strategy aspect lies in the characters, the guns and the mutations you pick. Yes, if you die on an amazing run it's still anoying but you can get back to were you were in a smaller ammount of time than in isaac. In this game skill makes you faster, the faster you can go the less anoying it is to die. It's still fun to play BoI from time to time. ![]() I understand if you disagree on me with this one <3). I personally put alot of time into BoI before I even heard of this game, but now i just can't stand the long, mostly RNG based runs (RNG because of the Item generation and stuff. This game is more on the faster side, unlike isaac runs which last for around 30-50 minutes a normal decent run in a loop is about 15-30 minutes depending on how you play the game. Nuclear Throne is alot more unforgiving since alot of stuff can oneshot you, in isaac on the other hand you can take 1 heart damage max. You do unlock characters, b-skins (only for asthetic), crowns and get golden weapons that change how you start but this is more for the arcade feel and improving how well you do or just mess around for fun. Instead of thinking its a Roguelike, look at this game as more of a twinstick arena based arcade shooter because thats what it is.īoI is a Roguelite and while fun is a very different game then this, if you came to this game thinking it was like Isaac then you will be dissapointed. But what else? Are the only drops medkits and ammo, or are there other factors that you unlock later that you strategize with? well the first problem is that this game isn't BoI and is actually a very different type of game when you look at it. Sure you have a lot of guns and some perks you earn on leveling up. It feels really repetitive and bland, as far as the mechanics go.
